Ford Ranger and Ranger Super Duty Support Growing Mining Fleet Demand

Meeting the Demands of Modern Mining

As the global mining industry accelerates toward a projected value of US$2.76 trillion¹ by 2030, operators are facing growing pressure to deploy mining fleet vehicles that can safely and reliably perform in some of the world’s harshest working environments. From coal mines in Indonesia to resource projects across Australia, demand is increasing for durable, cost-effective fleet solutions that can support both personnel and equipment in the field.

At Fastmarkets CT Asia 2026, RMA Indonesia showcased the Ford vehicle portfolio designed for these demanding applications, including the Ford Ranger XL, Ford Ranger XLT, Ford Everest and the new Ford Ranger Super Duty.

The 31st edition of CT Asia, held in Bali from September 27-29, 2026, brought together more than 3,600 industry leaders and decisionmakers from over 2,250 companies across 35 countries. For RMA Indonesia, the event provided direct access to the executives responsible for some of the region’s largest mining fleets. Furthermore, the event served as the official stage to announce RMAs expanded 1,000-vehicle fleet following its acquisition of Abhitrans.

Built for the Job: Ranger XL, Ranger XLT and Everest

A key highlight was the continued success of the Ford Ranger in the mining sector. The Ranger XL remains a popular choice for site operations, offering the durability, capability and practicality required for daily use in demanding environments. Meanwhile, the Ranger XLT continues to attract interest from oil and gas operators seeking a balance of capability and comfort for field teams.
For executive transportation, the Ford Everest offers a refined solution for senior leadership and site management, delivering passenger comfort without compromising the off-road capability required to access remote locations.

Ranger Super Duty Draws Early Interest from Mining Operators

RMA Indonesia also introduced customers to the Ford Ranger Super Duty, a vehicle developed specifically for customers whose operations demand more from their fleet. Interest in the model has already been expressed by two mining companies evaluating it as a potential successor to existing fleets.

Built to bridge the gap between a traditional pickup and a larger truck, the Ford Ranger Super Duty offers mining operators a compelling new option for carrying equipment, supporting maintenance teams and operating in challenging site conditions.

A Complete Mining Mobility Ecosystem

Beyond the vehicles themselves, RMA Indonesia provides a complete support ecosystem for mining operators, including vehicle leasing, custom mining modifications and aftermarket support. This allows customers to deploy tailored mining fleet solutions that align with operational, safety and productivity requirements.

“CT Asia 2026 is the perfect stage to show that Ford is thriving in Indonesia. Beyond raising brand awareness, RMA Indonesia supports the mining sector with a complete ecosystem, from Ford fleets and Avis leasing to Jasana Prima’s custom modifications and Mahindra support,” said Nhazzla Rizzliani, Senior Marketing Partnership & Activities, RMA Indonesia.

Supporting the Next Chapter of Mining Growth

As mining activity continues to expand across Indonesia and other resource-rich markets, Ford’s commercial vehicle portfolio is increasingly well positioned to support the industry’s evolving needs. Together, the Ford Ranger and Ranger Super Duty provide operators with a versatile combination of proven capability and next-generation heavy-duty performance, helping mining companies keep people, equipment and operations moving wherever growth takes them.
